| Puck! Sean Avery Takes a Dive on West Chelsea Condo Posted: 24 Jan 2011 12:53 PM PST New York Ranger, Vogue intern, barkeep and general man-about-town Sean Avery has just sold his two-bedroom condo at The Chelsea Club, according to city records. Unlike the Rangers, who have not had a losing season since 2003-2004, Avery's sale of the unit at 444 West 19th Street finds him below .500. Putting over-wrought sports metaphors aside, Avery bought the 1,112-square-foot condo not far from his other home at Madison Square Garden for $1.46 million in 2007, and has just sold it for $1.4 million, according to city records. The Modlin Group listing shows there are two bathrooms, a small terrace and "top of the line, unique modern finishes" designed by Andres Escobar and Karl Fischer. Listing agent Marisa Sargent declined to comment. Avery certainly gave the sale his best shot, listing the unit for $1.795 million nearly a year ago with Elliman. Modlin picked up the apartment in July and began asking $1.59 million before reducing that to $1.495 million a month later. The apartment entered contract in November and was sold on Jan. 11. The buyer is Jennifer Hartmann, a senior institutional consultant at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, who lists a current address in Rochester, N.Y. Hopefully, she's not a Sabres fan.
